What Does It Take To Launch An Art Movement?

Hey there Reader!

Launching art movements, artistic habits, and bold faith:

  • Habits of Artists. "The purpose of a ritual is to keep you moving forward." W. David O. Taylor is working on his next book on the vocation of the artist. With each of his books, I always enjoy the snippets he shares from his studies, like these habits of artists.
  • Bold Faith, Creative Evangelism: Reaching Today’s Global Youth Culture. Luke Greenwood hits on multiple topics in this interview. But this group might be inspired by his heart on creative ideas for local outreach. It reminded me of CRU's Soularium tool we'd use in college to start spiritual conversations with all kinds of folks from various religious backgrounds.
  • Launching An Art Movement. Mako has some great insights on what it takes to launch an arts movement in your community. If you want to get something going, he suggest at least 2 of these 3 things.
  • FREE DOWNLOAD// 33 Encouragements For Artists. Do you feel like your artistic gifts aren't being fully utilized? Considered? Under-appreciated? Like you have something more to offer but no one has ever even given you the space to explore? I wrote this free download for you.
  • Inspire Others. "Try to make the kind of art and things that will inspire others to make art and things." Kevin Kelly
