Artists Hold Keys to Unreached People Groups

In the book, All The World Is Singing, John Oswald briefly shares about his arts and mission work in Asia. He lays forth this powerful charge to artists: YOU hold keys to unreached people groups!

In a small Asian city, John began to build trust with a local amateur song and dance group. He learned their most distinctive folk instrument. He practiced with them, joined in the natural rhythms of their community (drinking tea together, having group discussions). Eventually, John even joined in one of their performances.

John talks about how all of this built trust with this Asian community:

The Relational Art of Church Planting

I'm excited to announce a new book, From The Ground Up: The Relational Art Of Church Planting by Steve Leston.

I've known Steve for nearly 20 years. He has been a pastor, mentor, co-worker, and friend to my wife and I over the years. I’m grateful to serve alongside him in To Every Tribe.

This book captures the essence of so many things I've learned from Steve. It's been an honor to see this lived out and modeled in his life.

In the book, Steve unpacks what he calls the "Phases in Pioneering." These phases set forth a model of discipleship based on the pace of relationships. I can say, with confidence, this model has helped me immensely in learning about building relationships with other artists.
